Bed & Breakfast Guest Reviews

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean - we slept very well!
Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
Nicely situated in the town. The bathroom was a little basic and in need of an upgrade but it was fine for the one night.
It was a shame the courtyard was full of junk furniture, it could be a nice seating area in the summer.

Lovely large room and bathroom, breakfast excellent, excellent position for exploring the town

Room was amazing very comfortable an lovely decor, food was lovely and I had the best nights sleep I've had in ages. There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Lovely large room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very accommodating. Location was good too. Bathroom was a little tired and could do with an update but to be honest it wasn't a big deal, it was clean.

The breakfast was nice ,the room was clean a bit old style . I asked a quiet room ,but my room was noisy

Nice beer good food lovely beer garden but most of all a lovely couple who run the place
Stop off point after walking and always a warm welcome

A beautiful historic Inn with loads of character. The owners Roy and Rima were extremely friendly and helpful, could not ask for more, they looked after me perfectly. My room was lovely with lots of character, the bed was very comfortable and the room was large with lots of storage. Extremely dog friendly, my dogs were allowed anywhere in the Inn. Nothing, the Inn was beautiful.

The location is in the centre of the town so everything was a brief walk away -restaurant, concert venue, artisan bakers and butchers , supermarket.
It is a very old building so don't expect perfectly rectangular walls. Large rooms require big furniture!! Great fun. I enjoyed most of my full english but would have preferred it to be cooked to order -and toast and black pudding to be hot and crisp!
The shower was really clean, but, being tall (6'1''), I nearly touched the ceiling!

Lovely big comfortable bed huge bathroom live music the night we were there great The bar was a bit sparse

Stopped here on the 23rd Feb 2020. Lovely big room and the food was lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Thank you. Hubby and I had a lovely time.

Evening Meal of Curry with Wine was excellent value and delicious. Breakfast sausages and eggs underdone.

The room was amazing, with four poster bed. Only found out day of leaving that it was the haunted room, no ghosts appeared. Loved the original fittings. Staff were excellent and food very good.

Staff were very helpful especially, due to flight delay, we arrived very late. Room was comfortable & the breakfast was excellent. Nothing

Meals were great, beds comfy, staff were friendly, very pet friendly.

    4 star rating

It is a small pub/hotel in the centre of town.
Enjoyed the stay, good size room and the staff were welcoming.
Also served good beer and wine in the bar.The price is very reasonable too.
I guess if there was a complaint, it would be the breakfast, which could have been served warmer. But I did not mention it at the time.
